Drug-peddler caught by Members of Welfare Committee in Manipur’s Churachandpur

Members of the Phailian locality Welfare Committee on Tuesday caught a drug peddler from Manipur’s Churachandpur district. The peddler has been identified as Kaizamang, a resident of Mata village.

The members of the association also caught seven other youths, including 2 auto rickshaw drivers while they were trying to purchase the drugs from the peddler. Over 70 packets of drugs were seized by the members.

The peddler was later released on the promise that he would not indulge in such drug peddling but would look for other means to earn a decent living.

The seven youths were also later released after they promised to refrain themselves from using drugs.
