Star Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh who was instrumental in India’s World cup victory in 2011 has announced his retirement from International Cricket.

The stylish left-hander made the announcement earlier on Monday afternoon bringing down the curtain on a glittering career.

Making the announcement in Mumbai Yuvraj said he has decided to move on after 25 years of cricket with 17 years of playing at the international level. He added that he considered himself extremely lucky to play 400 games for India.

Yuvraj listed the man of the match performance in the final of 2011 World Cup, hitting six sixes in an over against England in 2007 T-20 world cup and first Test hundred against Pakistan in 2004 as the highlights of his cricketing career.
