It’s mission Northeast for the BJP, as the party is out to woo the voters of the region with its star campaigner Prime Minister Narendra Modi slated to address as many as three mega rallies in Northeast on Saturday (March 30).

Prime Minister Modi will address 2 rallies in Assam and one in Arunachal Pradesh. The stage is all set for the PM’s rallies in Gohpur and Moran in Assam including the venue at Arunachal Pradesh in West Siang’s Aalo.

The Prime Minister will address a rally in Aalo which comes under the crucial West Arunachal Lok Sabha constituency at 11 am in the morning.

While Prime Minister Modi will address the public in Gohpur under Tezpur Lok Sabha constituency at noon, a massive gathering is expected at Moran under the Dibrugarh parliamentary seat, for the Prime Minister’s address, which is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

BJP heavyweight Kiren Rijiju is contesting from West Arunachal with former state Chief minister Nabam Tuki as his prime contender. Meanwhile, preparations are on in full swing for the Prime Minister’s mega rally in Gohpur.

Around 2 lakh people are expected to attend the rally being held to boost up support for the saffron party in the state, especially local candidate Pallab Lochan Das.

From Gohpur the Prime Minister will head to Moran to drum up support for BJP’s sitting MP from Dibrugarh Rameswar Teli.

The three rallies slated for tomorrow will be Prime Minister Modi’s first public address in the region after the announcement of poll dates.
