In a big announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation has informed that India now finds itself in the league of super nations after it successfully accomplished ‘Mission Shakti’.
India today became only the fourth country in the world to develop A-SAT missiles which have the capability to take down Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites up to a radius of 300 km from the surface of the earth.
Lauding the continued efforts of our space scientists, Modi said that our scientists have today made the impossible possible.
He however clarified to the world that this advancement or progress made in India’ space weaponry and technology is only for the enhancement of India’s capabilities and not in any way meant to harm anyone anywhere in the world.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister took to Twitter and congratulated on the success of Mission Shakti.
In the journey of every nation there are moments that bring utmost pride and have a historic impact on generations to come.
One such moment is today.
India has successfully tested the Anti-Satellite (ASAT) Missile. Congratulations to everyone on the success of #MissionShakti.
