Sitting BJP MLA from Yachuli, Likha Saaya’s residence in Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh came under attack on Sunday night.
According to sources, Saaya’s supporters were allegedly unhappy of him not contesting the assembly elections this time. It may be mentioned that Saaya was denied party ticket from the BJP leadership to contest the Assembly Elections.
Angry supporters vandalised and set ablaze Saaya’s private property and other amenities at the premises of his residence. Police rushed to the spot and later brought the situation under control.
SP Tumme Amo informed that several window panes were broken due to stone pelting and many chairs were also burnt down during the vandalism.
