Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a crucial high level security meet earlier on Thursday.
According to top sources, RAW chief Anil Kumar Dhasmana and IB chief Rajiv Jain were also present in the meeting.
The meeting assumes significance amid the heightened situation between India and Pakistan after the Indian Air Force strike destroyed Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camps in Pakistan.
On the other hand, the Army, Navy and Air Force chiefs who were called for a meet by Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the security situation in India’s borders will brief the media at 5 pm.
Meanwhile, senior Defence Ministry officials said that the Pakistan air intrusion was an attack on military installations.
The Indian Air Force pilot detained by Pakistan was ill treated by their army in violation of the Geneva Convention, said the Defence Ministry officials.
The officials also said that they believe Pakistan Army is actively supporting the Jaish-eh-Mohammad and is harbouring Jaish leaders including Masood Azhar in its facilities.
