Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, 9 February, inaugurated several projects and laid foundation stone of many vital schemes in Arunachal Pradesh.

PM Modi highlighted Centre’s development agenda addressing a huge gathering at Itanagar’s IG Park where he inaugurated a number of projects including laying base for the Rs 1000 cr Hollongi airport project.

The Prime Minister also launched DD Arunprabha, the 24th channel to be operated by Doordarshan.

The Prime Minister also laid base for the crucial Sela tunnel and also dedicated 110 MW Pare Hydroelectric Plant in Arunachal Pradesh to the nation.

Foundation stone for a permanent campus of Film and Television Institute of India was also laid at Jote besides inaugurating 50 health and wellness centers in the state.

The PM also declared 100% household electrification in Arunachal Pradesh under Saubhagya Scheme.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the Centre’s push to development in the last 55 months it was in power.

The PM mentioned that he had visited Arunachal Pradesh several times in the last 55 months in a bid to push for the state’s growth and development.

Modi informed that projects worth Rs 4000 cr has been sanctioned for Arunachal Pradesh since the last 55 months and more projects are in the pipeline.

Taking a dig at the Congress, Prime Minister Modi said what the BJP-led Centre did in the last 55 months could not be achieved by previous governments in 55 years.
