Following heavy snowfall in Sikkim, with many tourists left stranded, Indian Army Jawans vacated their barracks to provide shelter to over 3000 stranded tourists in the state.

Tourists were left stranded after road became slippery for vehicular movement following the heavy snowfall.

The state of Sikkim has once again been gripped by a cold wave. Areas of the state like Lchung Lachen, Ravangla, Tsomgo Lake have been receiving heavy snowfall.

Meanwhile, as many as 300 tourist vehicles are reportedly being stranded in Tsomgo lake due to heavy snowfall since yesterday.
