The Manipur People’s Party, one of the major regional parties from the Northeast, is gearing up to fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections next year.

The MPP’s Election Committee Convener, N Nirmala Leima made the statement while attending the 51st foundation day of the party at its office located in Imphal’s Polo Ground.

Leima stated that the party president O Jugindro will contest for Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat from Wangoi constituency and B Laikham Kaipu for Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat from 42-Tengnoupal district of Manipur.

The 51st foundation was attended by the MPP’s party president, vice president along with the other party leaders and members
