Wildlife experts have finally cracked the case of mysterious killings of livestock in different parts of Manipur particularly in Churachandpur, Kakching and Imphal East districts.

Talking to newspersons, Gopi GV, a wildlife forensic scientist from Wildlife Institute of India who is in Manipur to probe the livestock killings has confirmed that canines particularly wild dogs, jackal and wolves had killed hundreds of livestock.

The Wildlife scientist further appealed the general public not to target other animals and birds suspecting it to behind the livestock killings.

This has come to light after cameras were installed at various vulnerable locations for ‘camera trapping’ the predator.
