The demand for a separate Garoland is getting louder in Meghalaya with the Garoland State Movement Council today staged a massive protest at the Additional Secretariat.

The members of the GSMC demonstrated by holding placards and chanting slogans demanding separate Garoland.

GSMC Chairman, Nikman Ch Marak while speaking to Northeast Live said that the demand is age old and that they are resorting to democratic means of protest.

He however cautioned that if their demand remains unheeded to, they will only intensify the agitation.
