A shocking incident of firing comes to fore at Dergaon in Assam’s Jorhat district.
Two motorcycle-borne miscreants allegedly sneaked inside Assam Oil’s Universal Agency Petrol station on Monday night.
According to reports, one of the miscreants who was wearing a helmet, entered the cash counter in the pretext of getting a change of Rs 500. Soon after, he demanded money from the cashier at gunpoint.
Significantly, it was after an employee warned the miscreant of CCTVs at the petrol station that he immediately tried escaping the spot along with his accomplice.
Although employees at the petrol station tried restricting the miscreants, they somehow managed to flee from the spot, opening rounds of fire in the air.
Meanwhile , police officials have started a probe into the case and have also recovered an empty bullet cartridge from the spot.
