The ULFA-Independent has taken responsibility for the blast that took place in Assam’s Demow on November 22.

The outfit came out with the statement through a press release by their publicity secretary ‘Arunoday Asom’.

With regards to the death of a person named Kamal Agarwalla in the blast, the outfit stated that individuals who indulge in betrayal will have to face dire consequences.

The ULFA-I expressed sympathy with the family of the other person who died at the blast. The outfit stated that the other deceased person Anup Gupta was not in their target.

Meanwhile, the insurgent outfit further dismissed the NIA probe findings that have linked it to the Dhola firing incident. The ULFA-I reiterated that it had nothing to do with the incident.

The outfit further demanded proof from the authorities against it regarding the incident and termed it as a political conspiracy.
