After addressing a rally at Lunglei, Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Aizawl where he held a meeting with top civil society leaders and party members.
While the BJP candidates in fray sought a special package for Mizoram, the Mizo civil society groups highlighted the Bru issue which the PM said will be resolved after the polls.
The Prime Minister was accorded warm welcome outside the historic Aijal club as hundreds gathered to get his glimpse.
Prime minister Modi was at the Aijal Club to hold a meeting with top civil society leaders from the YMA, MZP, MHIP and MUP.
BJP candidates from Mizoram also called on the PM and requested for a special Mizoram Package.
Members of the civil society who called on the PM including YMA president Vanlaruata discussed the Bru issue among others.

The civil society members also discussed the issue of transfer of Principal Secretary Lalchuanga.
Meanwhile, a warm send off was accorded to the PM by the crowd which gathered outside the Aijal club with the Prime Minister waving at the gathering before to Lengpui airport.
