NGO-turned political party PRISM has filed counter affidavits against incumbent Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla and 27 other candidates for allegedly trying to conceal facts.

Talking to North East Live, PRISM spokesperson, Ngursailova Sailo, said that the party’s fight against corruption and injustice could not reach its logical conclusion with the government not paying attention to their concerns.

Sailo said that they are concealing facts which is against the rules and they are just trying to get things in accordance with the law.

The PRISM spokesperson further alleged that rules had been flouted by the aspiring candidates which include top leaders, forcing it to file the counter affidavits.

Apart from the Chief Minister who is from the ruling Congress, the counter affidavits have also been filed against other candidates from the Congress party and also from the Mizo National Front and the Zoram People’s Movement.
