Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman along with Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju visited Bomdila yesterday and took stock of the situation arising out of clashes between Army and Arunachal
Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman along with Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju visited Bomdila yesterday and took stock of the situation arising out of clashes between Army and Arunachal Pradesh police personnel in Bomdila.
The Defence Minister gave a patient hearing to the local Legislator, Civil society representatives of all the six tribes of the district, each of whom ventilated their grievances.
The Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and Commanding Officer of the Arunachal Scouts too presented their version of the incident that took place on November 3rd at Bomdila Police Station.
The Defence Minister later visited the site of incident at i.e. the Bomdila Police Station to see the damages caused.
Rijiju while condemning the unfortunate incident called for better understanding and co-operation between the armed forces and the civil administration for a vibrant and prosperous society.
