Six persons were held by police on charges of violating section 144 of the IPC while taking out a motorcycle rally in Dibrugarh.

Volunteers of 60 odd organisations took out the rally in Dibrugarh today in protest against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.

The demonstrators tried to hold a demonstration in front of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s residence, but they were prevented from doing so and the main leaders were taken into custody by police.
