Meghalaya: High Level Committee on relocation of Sweepers Colony

Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister and Chairman of the High Level Committee on relocation of Sweepers colony, Prestone Tynsong said that the state government shares the same concerns as the pressure

Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister and Chairman of the High Level Committee on relocation of Sweepers colony, Prestone Tynsong said that the state government shares the same concerns as the pressure groups on the sweeper colony issue and intents to complete its recommendation at the earliest.

Talking to newspersons, the Deputy Chief Minister disclosed that the inspection is almost complete.

Besides this, Tynsong who heads the high level committee said that it is awaiting a report to be submitted by the Chief Executive Officer of the Municipal Board following which the HLC will sit to discuss it.

Tynsong said that the government is taking this issue very seriously and he as a Chairperson of the HLC is more than keen to give its final recommendation to the government.
