Sikkim celebrated Dashain of Dussehra, Dashain is one of the biggest and longest Hindu festivals in Sikkim and carries cultural and religious significance.

It is a major Hindu festival celebrated in India and Nepal in the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin, which typically falls in the months of September and October.

The nine days of rituals during ‘Navratri’ culminates into a grand celebration on the tenth day or the ‘Dashami’.

On this day, family members seek blessings from the elders in the family in the form of ‘Tika’and ‘Jamara’.
