The Gauhati High Court today rejected the bail plea of former APSC Chairman Rakesh Pal who is the kingpin of the cash-for-job scam and lodged in the Guwahati central jail.

The tainted Ex-APSC Chairman had moved the court seeking bail in connection with a case filed against him at the Bhangagarh police station.
Meanwhile the CID has filed a suo moto case against Rakesh Pal on the basis of a complaint filed by Hun Kumar Baishya.
The complainant in his FIR mentioned that along with his friend Dhrubajyoti Baishya had paid Rs 10 lakh for clearing the APSC (Mains)examination in 2014.
