Meghalaya NPP President WR Kharlukhi has slammed the Congress over its attack on the Conrad Sangma-led government on frequent transfer of officers in the state.
While terming the process of transferring an official as a routine exercise, Kharlukhi said that the Congress is unnecessarily politicising the issue.
The NPP state president said that officials were transferred even during the Congress regime and asked the party to recall the fact that a Congress spokesperson who was also a government employee was also transferred.
Meanwhile, Kharlukhi also hinted that more Congress leaders may jump ship in the days to come.
