The two-day long executive committee meeting of the Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party began today at Majuli in Assam.

About 61 party MLAs, 11 ministers and several national leaders attended the event.

Several topics such as the parliamentary elections, the upcoming state elections, the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill and others are discussed at the meet.

Preparations have been made on a large scale at Dariya Ground for the event. Security has also been beefed up all across the river island for the event.

Special arrangements have been made to welcome the guests at the Samoguri Satra monastery with special traditional masks.
