Manipur University research scholar Yanglem Loijing Khuman has written to the Sinjamei Police Station Officer-in-charge calling for an immediate FIR to be lodged under section 182 and 211 of IPC against University VC in-charge Yugindro Singh for falsely filing an FIR against him on September 20.
Khuman alleged that Professor Yugindro had provided factually incorrect information to the police that he was manhandled by the students and that there was an attempt to murder him.
The scholar further clarified that he was never present at the spot where the incident was claimed to have occurred by the Vice Chancellor in-charge.
He further claimed that the allegations against him are totally baseless and irrelevant.
