In a big boost for the Mizo National Front ahead of the assembly elections in the state.
Former Mizoram Health Minister Lalrinliana Sailo joined the opposition Mizo National Front in Aizawl today.
Sailo, the Congress MLA from Tuichang constituency joined the MNF in a formal gathering at Aizawl.
At the same time, R. Lalzirliana decided not to formally join the MNF today citing the anti-defection law, but said that he is already a member of the MNF family.
The latest developments can be termed as a massive blow to the Congress in Mizoram.
Weeks after the Home Minister and senior Congress leader R Lalzirliana quit Congress, former Health Minister and sitting MLA Lalrinliana Sailo also resigned from the party to join the MNF.
