In a proud moment for the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the United Nation’s highest environment honour ‘Champions of The Earth Award’ on Wednesday for his commendable leadership and advocate action on sustainable development and climate change.
According to an official statement, the award was announced on September 26 on the sidelines of 73rd UN General Assembly in New York.
The award is also a global recognition for India, particularly in the realm of solar parks and renewable energy.
Meanwhile, along with Prime Minister Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron was too conferred with the honour.
