In a shocking and nerve wrecking incident that has been reported from Sivasagar in Assam, a son allegedly killed his mother by setting her on fire.

Khirod Hazarika allegedly killed his 60-year-old mother Jugoda Hazarika by setting her on fire.

Jugoda Hazarika died on the way to Assam Medical College Hospital in Dibrugarh. Meanwhile, police have arrested Khirod Hazarika.

According to the sons of Khirod Hazarika, their father used to beat them and his mother quite often.

Unable to bear the torture of their father, both the sons had to take shelter in an orphanage.
