Crisis looms large in Assam University as students are demanding resignation of Vice chancellor Dilip Chandra Nath alleging inaction against a professor accused of mentally harassing a student.

The students are demanding termination of Samir Behera, Professor of mathematics department who resumed office after being sent on leave after harassment charges were levelled against him.

The agitating students who also locked the vice-chancellor’s office further warned of intensifying their agitation if their demand is not addressed at the earliest.
