Acting on specific inputs, the Meghalaya customs department busted an international drug trafficking racket at Kiling village in Meghalaya’s Ri-Bhoi district.
Contraband worth Rs 19.7 crore was seized from a vehicle carrying the consignment from Manipur to be supplied to a drug smuggler.
It is to be mentioned that the smuggler who also hails from Manipur was planning to smuggle the contraband to Bangladesh through Meghalaya.
