A forest department official sustained injuries after a rhino attacked him in the Kaziranga National Park.

The incident happened at the park’s Rongamotoria forest shelter where a forest guard named Nipen Barman was attacked by the rhino.

The guard has sustained injuries in his chest and back but there is nothing serious in the nature of his injuries.

The forest guard has been admitted to the Jorhat Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
