Tripura Government has welcomed Bangladesh’s decision to use Mongla and Chittagong sea ports for trading and business between both countries.

Recently, Bangladesh government passed a bill in their parliament according to which both these ports will now be used as points to exchange goods and commodities from across the border.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma welcomed the idea and thanked Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for coming up with it.

It’s worth mentioning here that trade through these two ports would massively boost business opportunities in Northeast.
