Nagaland MLA’s unite, demands early peace agreement

The Nagaland assembly today unanimously adopted a resolution urging Naga underground groups outside the peace process to join the negotiations. It also called upon the Centre to expedite the dialogue

The Nagaland assembly today unanimously adopted a resolution urging Naga underground groups outside the peace process to join the negotiations.

It also called upon the Centre to expedite the dialogue and reach an acceptable solution to the 7 decade old issue.

Without naming the NSCN-K, the resolution emphasized on the need of an inclusive and acceptable solution with integration of the Naga areas in the region.

Seeking an early resolution to the over seven decade old issue, all the 60 members of the Nagaland Legislative assembly came together to press the Central government to bring about an honourable, acceptable and inclusive settlement keeping in mind that negotiations have been continuing for around 21 years now.
