A violent clash broke out between two groups of the BJP on Wednesday.

The incident took place in the Shilachhari area of the Karbuk subdivision of Gomti district where a programme was organized under the initiative of the Agriculture department.

Tripura Agriculture Minister Pranjit Singh Roy was the Chief Guest on the occasion where local MLA Burba Mohan Tripura was also present.

And just when the programme was about to begin, some men and women started demanding the resignation of MLA Burba Mohan alleging that she has not been seen in the area after getting elected.

This led to a scuffle between the protesters demanding resignation of the MLA and her supporters which led to some people including women getting injured.

In fact, it was only after the police intervened with sticks that the situation was brought under control. Meanwhile, the injured persons are being treated at a local hospital.
