Union Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar was at Mawklot village in Meghalaya for a Swachhta Hi Seva Programme.
While speaking at the programme, Akbar asserted that India’s growth rate had gone high since women had become the central part of economic emancipation.
He stressed on the need to invest in women and said that they have to be given the opportunity to become the new builders of new India.
Talking about the Swachh Bharat Mission, he said that the Mission has no end and that it should become a part of daily life, adding that the mission is important for children and future generations of the country.
