7-day ‘Ati Rudra Maha Yagya’ gets underway in Amingaon

The air in Guwahati is filled with reverberation of sacred mantras, as the 7- day ‘Ati Rudra Maha Yagya’ got underway today at Amingaon area of the city.
Atleast 200 priests from Kerala, Goa, Karnataka and other parts of the country have arrived in Guwahati to take part in the yagya.
This is the first time that a yagya of such magnitude is being organised in the North east. The yagya has been organised for world peace.
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also took part in the maha yagya.
