The state of Sikkim is all set to get its first airport and just before the big day of inauguration, State Civil Aviation minister Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia visited the Pakyong airport.

He along with additional chief secretary SC Gupta and MLA G Machong took stock of the final preparations for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23 to inaugurate the Pakyong airport.

Terming it as a historic moment for Sikkim, Gyatso Bhutia said they are happy to see the airport ready and preparations are going on in full swing to welcome the PM.
