Agitating students of Manipur University staged vehement protest in front of the Raj Bhawan today, sticking to their demand of vice-chancellor AP Pandey’s removal.
The agitators alleged that the N Biren Singh led government has failed miserably in resolving the crisis.
Earlier, on Wednesday too agitating students including MUSU general secretary L Kennedy were detained after they took the streets against the controversial vice chancellor.
However, VC Pandey remains defiant to go on an extended leave sidelining the memorandum of agreement signed between the Union HRD ministry and the university community.
