A differently abled boy was killed in a fire mishap at a residential building at Jalipool in East Sikkim. The deceased has been identified as Umesh Mangar.
As per reports, a fire broke out in one of the rented rooms of a five storied building at Jalipool at around 11 am in the morning.
The 16 year old boy who at the time of the incident was alone in the room succumbed to his burn injuries while being transported to the Central Referral Hospital.
The fire was doused with the help of police personnel, locals and the fire and emergency service.
A case of arson has also been registered at the Ranipool Police Station.
