Renowned actor Adil Hussain has made Assam and the region proud yet again.
The prolific actor has received the prestigious Amanda Norwegian National Film Awards for best actor award in a leading role for the movie “What Will People Say”, directed by second-generation Norwegian national, Iram Haq at the Norwegian National Awards.
Receiving the award, Adil Hussain dedicated the award to the people of Goalpara, his home town in Assam.
The Norwegian National Awards is the Scandinavian country’s top national film honour.
Adil Hussain has played the lead role of a strict Pakistani father in the movie. The film was initially released in Canada in 2017.
It may be mentioned that Adil Hussain is the only Indian actor to be nominated ever and win the prestigious award.
