Apex court asks govt to enact law against mob lynching

The Supreme Court today came down heavily on the increasing cases of mob lynching in the country and has directed the Centre and and the states to draw up preventive,

The Supreme Court today came down heavily on the increasing cases of mob lynching in the country and has directed the Centre and and the states to draw up preventive, remedial and punitive measures to control this crime and file compliance reports within four weeks.

The matter has been fixed for further hearing on 28 August. The direction was made by a bench comprising Chief Justice Dipak mishra, Justice Am Khanwilkar and Justice DY Chandrachud.
