As the Nation celebrates the astounding gold winning victory of sprinter Hima Das, the Athletics Federation of India has mocked the athlete from Assam by putting out a patronising tweet commenting on her poor command over the English language, something which has no relevance at all to her performance.

Meanwhile, following nation-wide outrage, the Athletics federation has put up a tweet seeking apology. The athletics Federation that has put up the tweet in Hindi said the motive of the tweet was not to insult anybody.
