Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is all set to review the flood situation in the state’s Lakhimpur district.

The Chief Minister will be reviewing the flood and erosion scenario caused by the Singora river at Dolohat near Noubaicha. Lakhimpur has been one of the worst affected districts from floods this year.

Since the last 14 days, authorities have been trying to control the flow of the Singora river but in vain. Floods caused by the raging waters of the Singora river have caused widespread devastation in the region.

Sonowal’s visist today would be a day after state irrigation minister Ranjit Dutta took stock of the flood affected areas. The Chief Minister will also review the measures taken by the water resources department.
