In a move to press demand for job regularization, hundreds of ADHOC teachers today surrounded Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling’s official residence in Mintokghang early in the morning and staged a protest.
The protesters demanded for the regularisation of their jobs as promised earlier by the Chief Minister. It is to be mentioned that in a recent list published by the Sikkim Public Services Commission, some of the ADHOC teachers’ names which were earlier promised by CM Chamling of job regularisation, were not listed.
However, the Chief Minister was not present at his residence at the time of the protest as he is currently in the West District of the state.
