Anti-corruption watchdog in Mizoram, Prism has alleged that the Mizoram Police department is currently facing shortage of vehicles which is likely to affect in its functioning.

PRISM youth wing President R. Liantluanga said police are facing shortage of vehicles due to which they often face inconvenience in carrying out their duties effectively as their job demands frequent movement to far-off places.

He also said that many of the vehicles used by various police outposts are outdated and need immediate replacement.
