Elephant menace continues to prevail in Assam as incident of man-elephant continue to come in with each passing day.
A large herd of elephants has been terrorising several villages of Rongjuli in Goalpara district. Several houses and properties have been damaged by the marauding jumbos.
The herd of elephants descended among human habitations from the hilly regions. The elephants have reportedly trampled and killed livestocks.
While, people of Jonai in Assam’s Dhemaji district today faced troubles due to the intimidating presence of jumbos.
Two wild elephants blocked the National Highway No 15, meanwhile causing traffic to be stalled on both ways of the road for about three hours until the elephants finally moved from the spot.
