Continuing the tirade against food adulteration in Assam, Minister of State for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika conducted more raids on food joints in and around Beltola area in Guwahati.

Bakeries, eateries and even pharmacies were raided to check for sub-standard stuff, licensing and compliance to required safety norms.

Meanwhile, according to latest reports, the godown of the famous Kanha sweets on Beltola road has been seized.

Hazarika said, the raids will continue at various places and strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty.
