Sensation prevailed in Tripura’s West District after the body of Purna Biswas, a 10 year old hailing from Mohanpur Bhumihin colony was recovered on Wednesday from a nearby rubber garden.

According to reports, the class 4 student went missing on Tuesday afternoon. And it was late in the evening yesterday that after searching for his whereabouts, Purna’s body was recovered from a nearby rubber garden.
While initially people of the area suspected that the boys’ kidneys were removed after the murder as cut marks were spotted on the body. Rumours of the boys kidneys being removed had enraged the locals who even clashed with the police team that visited the site after the recovery of the body.
Later, the rumours were put to rest by the post mortem report which, according to the police stated that the minors’ organs were intact. In fact, the West District police asked the public not to indulge in such rumour mongering over the issue.
Meanwhile, investigation of the murder has already begun after senior police officials of Tripura Police visited the spot from where the body of the minor was recovered.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Mohanpur announced a compensation of rupees ten thousand to the bereaved family. Tripura State BJP Youth Morcha President, Tinku Roy after visiting the victim’s family assured that the culprits will soon be brought to book.
