The three-member NHRC team called on the community elders of the colony besides also visiting the house of the girl involved in an argument with the bus driver and his son that flared up into a big incident creating over a week of turmoil in the city.

The NHRC team would also call on the three boys who were allegedly assaulted in the incident and record their statement.

Earlier, an argument that had gone awry leading to the assault of local boys had created unrest in the area, leading to prolonged curfew in Shillong.
