A day ahead of the 58th National Inter-State Senior athletics meet in Guwhati, Olympian PT Usha has said the track for the national event is not up to the mark.
A day ahead of the 58th National Inter-State Senior athletics meet in Guwhati, Olympian PT Usha has said the track for the national event is not up to the mark.
Interacting with media persons in Guwahati today, PT Usha, also known as the queen of Indian track and field, said while the infrastructure at the Sarusajai Sports Complex is good, the track is a bit hard and not up to the mark.
Significantly, more than 800 athletes have already arrived for the 4-day event which will be the final selection trial for Indian athletes for the 18th Asian Games to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from August 18.
The championship is scheduled to be held at the Sarusajai Sports Complex from June 26-29.
