In a major development into the horrific Karbi Anglong mob lynching incident, the police have arrested five more persons in connection with the case.

Those arrested have been identified as Babu Singh Kro, Ratneswar Terang, Phukan Lekhte, Perez Timung and Peter Ingti.

This takes the total number of arrested persons in the case to 41. Meanwhile, police operations are on to nab all the persons involved in the brutal killing of the two young men from Guwahati Nilotpal Das and Abhijit Nath.
