People in Nagaland have now come out in open expressing solidarity against proposed replacement of DGP RUpin Sharma by the Neiphiu Rio-led government.
While police personnel were slated to stage protest today, they didn’t take part after the DGP appealed them not to take part in any such protest.
DGP Sharma had earlier appealed the Nagaland Police personnel to stay from their planned stir and signature campaigning protest after Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton and Chief Secretary Temjen Toy had shot off letters to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh seeking replacement of the incumbent DGP.
